About the Award
The Excellence in Aboriginal Leadership Award was created in 2004 and is one of most prestigious awards in the Aboriginal Community. It recognizes and celebrates First Nation, Inuit and Métis achievements in Aboriginal finance and management across Canada. Award recipients are selected based on their vision of excellence, innovation, outstanding leadership and contribution to Aboriginal finance and management.
There are two categories for the MNP-AFOA Canada Excellence in Aboriginal Leadership Award. The National category recognizes individuals who have contributed to the Aboriginal financial and/or management profession on a national or institutional level. The Regional category recognizes those individuals who have made their financial management contributions at the regional, local or community level.
