2015 – 2018 FNHMA Board of Directors and the 2015-2016 Executive Results
Ottawa, ON, (November 18, 2015) – The FNHMA Board of Directors, voted in a new Executive, as the current term of the existing executive expired. Lorraine Muskwa, Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council, AB has been elected as the new President of the First Nations Health Managers Association (FNHMA). Lorraine commenced her role as President on Friday, November 6th, 2015.
Judy Sugar, CFNHM, Health Director of Piapot First Nation, SK served as the President of the FNHMA from November of 2014 to November 2015. Judy contributed to the FNHMA, not only at a National level but also at her Tribal Council level. Judy was one of eight women recognized and honoured for her efforts in leadership and management. Her dedication to excellence in First Nation health management and administration that is based on caring, respect, honesty, and responsibility was acknowledged by the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council. In Judy’s role as the President of the FNHMA, she led the organization’s strategic action and partnership building. Thank you for your service, Judy!
As FNHMA’s 5th President, Lorraine Muskwa will be strong leader and looks forward to supporting the vision and mission of the FNHMA membership. “As the new FNHMA President, I will serve with diligence and ensure our member’s voices are reflected in all operating aspects of the organization.”
